CET extends program to high school students
Salem's Children's Educational Theatre is widening its program this summer to include performances by high-school age students. In the past older students were limited to behind-the-scenes work on CET productions. This season 30 enrolled students, grades 9-12, will be given credit toward their high school diplomas upon completion of CET's seminar.

Students will audition for two plays: "Romeo and Juliet" and "You Know I Really Love You But My Father Really Hates You Blues," and do all their own behind-the-scenes work. Local drama teachers Tom Hewitt and Deborah Johansen guide the endeavor.

The program will run June 23 to July 26 at South Salem High School and the Howard Street Charter School. Early registration is encouraged, and limited scholarships may be available.
For more information contact the CET office at (503) 399-3398 for information, or visit childrensedtheatre.org.
