It's the nightlife, babySilverton's Silver Grille will now stay open "after hours" on Friday and Saturday nights. Owner Joel Autry says the venue will feature live music in a nonsmoking setting from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. The after-hours menu will offer small plates as well as gourmet desserts and a full bar. Silver Grille is located at 206 E. Main Street, Silverton.

Samuel Maverick would be proud of his new Salem namesake, located at 3981 Commercial Street. Maverick's Bar and Grill, owned by Bill and Angela Lyles, features standbys such as steak (Sam's Maverick Perfect Porterhouse weighs in at a hefty 22 oz.) and gourmet burgers, as well as southern delicacies like frog legs, alligator and catfish. On the move
Caruso's Italian Café and Catering will move within Keizer from their 4907 River Road location to 5754 Inland Shores. The move is expected to take place in early February 2008, according to owner/executive chef Jerry Phipps. The new location will offer expanded seating, a larger parking lot as well as a view of Staats Lake.
